Compare Options

ManageArtworks Web Viewer supports several comparison options. These options provide granular control over how two files are analyzed.
The options available depend on the selected File Type, Compare Mode, File contains?, and Review Options.

Note: Compare Options are not available for the following file types:

  • GS1 XML vs PDF
  • QRD Label Word vs PDF
  • View Side by Side
Compare TypeDescription
Compare the whole fileCompares the entire Master file against the Sample file without requiring manual selections.
Select regions before comparingAllows users to manually draw and select specific regions of interest before running the comparison.
This is useful when you want to limit the comparison to particular areas of the artwork.
Choose specific pages to compareEnables page-level mapping between the Master and Sample files.
Users can select which pages should be compared, which is helpful for multi-page artwork or leaflets.
Remove some layers before comparingAllows users to exclude specific non-critical layers (for example, dielines or measurement layers) so the comparison focuses on essential artwork content.

Combine compare options

You can select either Compare the whole file or Select regions before comparing. The other options act as add-ons to whichever primary comparison method you choose.

Users can combine options based on their comparison needs. For example:

  • Compare the whole file + Remove some layers before comparing
  • Select regions before comparing + Remove some layers before comparing

Compare options in Multi-Up mode

(Applicable only for the Cartons and Labels file type)

  • When Compare Mode = Multi-Up, the following rules apply:
    • Select regions before comparing is the only compare option available by default.
    • If the artwork contains multiple pages, Choose specific pages to compare is also available.
    • The following options are not available in Multi-Up mode:
      • Compare the whole file
      • Remove some layers before comparing
